Romanucci & Blandin Files Suit Against NAPA For Monster Truck Accident in DeKalb
Chicago, IL, August 16, 2007 - Stephan Blandin, a principal in the law firm of Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, based here, today filed a lawsuit in the circuit court of DeKalb County (Hessler v. Busca, et al., case number 07 L 62) against the NAPA company on behalf of a man who was injured when a monster truck performing stunts in DeKalb, Ill., on August 9 plowed into a crowd of spectators. A total of nine people were injured.
Gregory Hessler, 45, of Aurora, a general manager for a local business located near the street where the truck was performing, was a bystander when the truck lost control as it was attempting to drive over and crush four cars. After plowing through the crowd, the truck went through a fence and stopped on railroad tracks. Hessler was treated in the emergency room of a DeKalb Hospital for injuries sustained to his leg. He is still undergoing medical treatment and has not returned to work.
"We believe this accident will show a willful and wonton neglect by the NAPA dealership, its parent company, the driver of the truck and his company," said Blandin.
